The Office of International Education is hosting a number of events in September to help students prepare for a study abroad experience.
Workshops will focus on exploring SUNY’s 700+ study abroad programs, applying for scholarships and funding, and fitting an overseas experience into a four-year degree program.
Study Abroad 101 – Sept. 2, 7, 15, 16, 20, 24 and 29, at 1 p.m.
Financing Study Abroad – Sept. 15, 20, and 29, at 2 p.m.
Gilman Scholarship Workshops – Sept. 16, 24 and 28, at 2 p.m.
SUNY virtual Study Abroad Fair – Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Kellie Sacilowski, an Administrative Assistant 1 in Rockefeller Arts Center who’s known for going above and beyond the normal responsibilities and expectations of her position, has received the Poummit Secretarial Award.
“No one can hear you screen!” A play on words, obviously from the “Alien” film franchise, was crafted by students in the Department of Communication to promote their end-of-term screening on Dec. 9.
A fundraiser – featuring works of art created by more than a dozen area artists – is underway to raise money to purchase medicine and medical supplies that SUNY Fredonia students will take along with them to Honduras in 2023, where they serve on medical brigades that provide needed health care.
